Let's Write About Sex Education: A Journalism Workshop for Grades 9-12
Workshop presented by Austin Bat Cave & Jane's Due Process and taught by local journalists, health care experts, and educators including Lauren Lluveras, Alexa Garcia-Ditta, Alex Borden, Adrian Osella, Irma L. Garcia, Emma Robinson, and Eleanor Grano along with teen educators Britney Huynh and Gayatri Rajamony.

What are your opinions about the sex ed you've received in your public school? What changes would you like to see in sex ed curriculum in Austin, and across Texas?

We want to hear your experiences! Come write opinion pieces and personal essays about your vision for sex-ed in Texas and learn from journalists and experts in health & reproductive justice about how to advocate for change. You will learn how to pitch articles to local and national publications and decision-making boards in order to get your voice heard!
