We would like to award a $1,000 fellowship to entry level individuals who provide a compelling argument for their candidacy, including the demonstration of their: (a) commitment to public health entomology (mosquito/vector control), (b) attention to detail in completing the application, (c) need for the training (in the context of their career/education to enhance their job or career trajectory). The Dodd Fellowships are intended for the professional workforce.
However, current college and graduate level students may be considered on a case-by-case basis. For currently enrolled college/university students interested in gaining instruction in mosquito and tick vector surveillance and control, please considering accessing the SECVBD online training modules:
