We take the issue of Data Protection very seriously and would never knowingly use an image of your child without your prior consent. We therefore ask you to read this information carefully, and in conjunction with the questions below, before completing this section.

Image of a child - I understand that:

a) Photographs are displayed within the school to celebrate achievement and to share good practice.
b) Photographs of individuals and groups of children are kept for assessment purposes and shared with parents.
c) Photographs are sometimes taken by the press to celebrate the life of the school within the community. In this case, children’s names are NEVER disclosed.
d) Photographs and videos of teaching activities in our school are sometimes shared with other teachers across the county and throughout Wales, as examples of good practice. Children’s names are NEVER disclosed.
e) We do allow parents to take photographs at school concerts and sports' days. If you do take photos of children at these events, we ask you also to respect others' privacy and not to put images of other people’s children on social media without their permission.
f) Photographs are kept within school as a record of important events and to aid future planning.

Supervised access to the internet - I understand that:

a) Class emails may be sent by a group or class of children working with a teacher.
b) The content of sent and received emails would always be monitored by the teacher.
c) Access to the internet would be planned and supervised by the teacher, who would pre-plan searches to lead to material appropriate to support learning.
d) No names will accompany a photograph in any social media setting.

Twitter as a social media platform - I understand that:

a) Images may accompany a ‘tweet’, but will NEVER include the name of the children involved.
