From street rat to royal prisoner. The name Ryviance Aurelia means nothing good to the kingdom of Nostra until I am stripped of my rags and forced to don royal robes when I am caught for the last time. I shouldn't be complaining about the blessing of a better life, but for the cost, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Little did I know, everything was about to change.

I questioned why a god-like dragon chose me to be its rider until my eyes were opened to the gross issues the kingdom faces. Problems that the king denies even when the bodies of the missing come up devoid of everything—not even their poor souls are to be found.

The king isn't all who he pretends to be, and he won't get away with his treachery. Every part of the kingdom and its land is vital, none worth sacrificing for nothing.

If he thinks sending me to war to die will silence me, then he has another thing coming for him. Everything will be nothing but ashes, and from the ruins of war will I emerge stronger and better.
