We are called through our Baptism to serve others and build the kingdom of God. As part of your Confirmation preparation you are asked to participate in Christian Service to explore how you can serve the community. While there is no requirement for how many hours of service you do, you are asked to do at least one meaningful service project IN THE PARISH and at least one OUTSIDE THE PARISH.

Be creative! Take the time to discern the needs of people in our parish, our local area, and the world. Try a variety of different service opportunities to find one where you can best serve God’s people with your unique gifts and talents. Ask your sponsor to help you with your discernment. What are your gifts and talents? Are there certain projects that intrigue you? How can you challenge yourself? A list of suggestions is provided to help you begin discerning. Please note that many projects require an accompanying parent or guardian who is over 18.
