The Philippine Human Rights Act coalition of International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines US , Malaya Movement, and Kabataan Alliance will be holding lobby days this summer in Washington DC. We hope to strengthen the PHRA campaign by engaging our members and supporters in lobbying and gain both congressional and community. If you plan to come to Washington DC for the lobby days, please register.
In addition, we are looking for people to support the planning of these lobby days and are encouraging people to sign up for a committee
- Educational Resources: update one pagers; create materials to distribute to lobby targets
- Media & Prop: documenting lobby days (photo/video); engage with media, generate media advisory and press statements; create content for social media posts covering the lobby days
- Fundraising: raise money to send people to lobby days; gather donations to support the PHRA campaign
- Logistics: coordinate housing and travel itineraries to DC; create a travel advisory for DC
- Program/Lobby Schedule: conduct orientations for the lobby days; set up lobby teams - choose team leads, share information with them; devise implementation for day-of - assign lobby visits to teams
