Come Join Us!  Mount Olive Open Space White Trail Event - Saturday, August 19, 2023  10:00 - 12:00
We are committed to community activities that bring people together and care for our environment.  This week we are cleaning and doing some light maintenance on the open space White Trail in Budd Lake.  The trail head is on Old Budd Lake Road, and you can park at Adams Hot Bagels Pancake House on Route 46 or along the road.  The trail sign can be seen from the parking lot.  We will be in the shady woods so bug spray and closed toed shoes are recommended.  Bags, gloves and tools will be available .    We will be working from the trail head on Old Budd Lake Road to the bog.  Please sign up below and we will see you there or inform you of any changes!  Volunteers will get a hat that has been supplied by the Open Space Committee.

What to Wear

  • Wear hiking boots or heavy work boots, preferably, or close-toed shoes.
  • Long-sleeved shirts and long comfortable trousers tucked into socks will help protect you from abrasions and pests.
  • Light-colored clothes make it easier to spot insects and tend to keep you cooler in warm weather.
  • Heavy, leather-palmed gloves protect your hands. •
  • Insect/tick repellent and a hat help provide additional protection.
