Open Door Scholarship
The Open Door scholarship is intended for queer and trans birth workers who are interested in completing Family Equality's Open Door Professional Training Program.
At Family Equality, we believe LGBTQ+ people having access to LGBTQ+ practitioners is essential. We are committed to giving queer & trans family building professionals access to our professional training program in order to connect LGBTQ+ prospective parents with LGBTQ+ practitioners.
Our Open Door Professional Training Program for family building professionals includes 3 modules. Each module is self-paced and takes between 90 & 180 minutes to complete. Upon completion, practitioners can be listed in Family Equality's LGBTQ+ Family Building Directory.
Access to Open Door will be complimentary. Family Equality may reach out to scholarship recipients for Open Door module reviews, quotes, and related testimony. We will also be collecting demographic information for internal reporting purposed only.
