The Funky60 by Pikatea
This is the IC for the Funky60. A 60 percent keyboard with an interesting/vertically flipped layout. It's funky!

I've been using this keyboard for the past 7 months now and I can honestly say, it is very pleasant. The smaller 2u key in the bottom row is mapped to "space" and the larger 6.25u or 7u key is mapped to "backspace" (by default) so the core typing experience is largely the same. The only real difference is that the numbers and modifiers are swapped and the "backspace" is now very large and absolutely slaps.

This keyboard kit will come with a Funky layout. Other Layouts will be available too as an addon. You can easily switch between layouts without too much hassle.

Because of the layout switching options, we've separated the PCB into two parts. The matrix board and the controller board. This also give us the option to make this a through-hole kit which keeps the cost down and speeds up production while still giving you the nice centered USB port.

The main kit features an 6063 Aluminum Case with no blockers.

For $30, would you get an extra 3D printed case that features whatever blockers your heart desires?
*
We plan on offering White, Grey, Black, Blue and Red colors for the case. If you could/wanted to add one more color option, what would that be?
*
The kit comes with an FR4 or Aluminum plate. If you wanted a different plate material, what would that be?
*
We don't plan on including case foam at the $206 price point. Do you think it is worthwhile AND would you still buy the keyboard if we increased the price to $216 and included PCB foam?
*
For an extra $15 per layout, would you prefer to "Upgrade" either Funky or Normal PCB layouts to be hotswappable. This would still be a kit and require you to solder the Kailh sockets to the PCB. Only available for the normal and funky layouts. Sockets Included *
The brass bottom weight is not coated and will patina over time. Would you prefer to increase the price by $40 dollars so that the brass weight could be PVD coated? *
At a base kit price of $206, do you want to buy the Funky60?

The Funky60 supports 4 layouts. What are your thoughts on $15 dollars per layout addon. You could get 1 layout for $206 and all 4 layouts for $251. *
