I acknowledge that participating as a Scarborough Land Trust volunteer or program participant may include hazardous activities. These activities may be dangerous and that there are risks, known and unknown, that may result in possible loss, damage, injury, or death. I realize that I must be prepared for all risks presented by participation in these activities including, among other things, changeable weather conditions, rough terrain, wildlife, interactions with other individuals and pets, lack of immediate medical attention, etc. and will take appropriate action by wearing suitable outdoor shoes and clothing, consuming adequate amounts of drinking water, using sunscreen, and generally being attentive to my surroundings and possible physical hazards.  

 

I also agree to allow the Scarborough Land Trust to use any and all images from the outings, programs, or activities for promotional media purposes on the SLT website, social media, newspaper, etc. including photographs, videos, interviews, etc.  

 

With full knowledge of the hazards and responsibilities, I confirm that I have read this liability release statement and voluntarily assume all risks occurring in connection with Scarborough Land Trust outings, workshops, projects and programs.  

 

I, on behalf of myself, all of my family, heirs and all representatives, and subrogates hereby release and hold harmless the Scarborough Land Trust and any and all organization volunteers, employees, chapters, agency partners, guides, directors, and associated or affiliated persons from liability, claims, demands, or causes of action. I further release, indemnity and hold harmless agencies and personal property owners allowing access to private and public lands from liability, claims, demands, or causes of action.  

 

I understand that this is a legal document and that by signing it I am giving up my right to sue or otherwise make a claim against the Scarborough Land Trust or other persons or agencies mentioned above.
