Hello and welcome to MIST (Mental Illness Support for Teenagers)! We are a student run mental health initiative started by high school students from the St Louis area with chapters in St Louis, Fresno California, Sugar Land Texas, Surabaya Indonesia, Austin Texas, and Dubai with volunteers across the world. Our goal is to raise awareness of mental health issues in order to destigmatize the topic. We are looking for high school students that are passionate about raising awareness of mental health issues and are ready to work in a team with high school students from across the world. If you sign up to volunteer with us, you will receive monthly emails with different projects that you can work on each month. Each project will have a different leader who will coordinate with the project teams and will assign tasks and schedule zoom meetings. The projects will be flexible and you can work on multiple at a time and change groups each month if you want. You can also lead a project if you have any ideas and we will work with you to get it started. If you are a project leader, you can also work in other projects as well. So far, our current projects that we have ready are making social media posts, writing podcast scripts, and working on art and design projects for fundraising purposes. We are also looking for people who would be interested in starting their own MIST Chapters (high school clubs) in their schools or outside of school.
