2023 Murray Irish Music Class Registration
Welcome to The Murray Irish Dance School's online registration and waiver forms.

Music Classes in the Murray School are open to non-professional, non-teaching music students.    

Tin Whistle Classes:
  • Our Tin Whistle classes will be taught for a soprano (as opposed to a Low) whistle in the key of D. You will need to have your own tin whistle.
  • Preferred brands of whistles for beginners are: Generation or Oak brand. Metal body (nickel or brass) with a plastic Fipple (mouthpiece) They are available on Amazon and should cost about $12-14.
  • Avoid whistles made of abs or have a plastic plastic body, whistles with a tapered body (wider at the top, thinner at the bottom,) Clarke, Susato or off brand whistles not made in Ireland or England.
Tune Learning Class:
  • Open to all players of all Irish traditional melody instruments (fiddle, flute, whistle, concertina, banjo, accordion, harp, mandolin, uillean pipes.)
  • All you need is a basic understanding for how to play your instrument.
  • We will learn how to pick up tunes by ear, no sheet music.
  • bring a phone or something to make recordings of the tunes for practice.
Please complete separate registration forms for EACH student
  • If you are filling out this form as a Parent: Please fill out ALL sections.
  • Tuition must be the responsibility for at least one parent listed on the student's registration form. If another family member wants to pay for your child's tuition, you need to work out arrangements with them separate from the Murray School.
  • If you are an Adult or 18 years or older and responsible for your tuition payments: Fill out the Student Info Section and put N/A for any required questions that do not apply in the "Parent/ Guardian Information" section. 
Tuition and Registration Fees:
  • Tuition is charged on a monthly basis
  • There Is No Registration Fee For Music Students
  • Tuition for Tin Whistle Class $80/ month per class
  • Links to online payments will be found on your confirmation page when your form is submitted.
  • All fees must be paid in full before the start of your first class.
  • All Fees are non-refundable.
  • Tuition is not pro-rated. Only exception is if a new student starts midway through their first month.
  • You place in class is confirmed when all forms and payments are received.
