Case Med Pride is holding an event during Diversity Week
with Dr. Lady J, the first drag queen with a dissertation on drag! She will be giving the talk in drag and will incorporate drag history throughout the talk.
The talk is titled, "Paying Back the T: Holding the LGBTQ+ and Medical Communities Accountable for Unfulfilled Promises." She will be talking about trans belonging and community building, focusing on the ways that agreements made by the LGBTQ+ community and the medical community with the trans community need to be truly fulfilled, some of the ways those efforts are failing, and how folks in those spaces can change this for the better.
