2020-2021 Herod ES Extended Day Program Policies and Procedures

No Extended Day: There will be no Extended Day on October 21, 2020; November 20, 2020; December 18, 2020; January 29, 2021; February 24, 2021; March 12, 2021 and June 11, 2021.

Dismissal: Parents must pick up their children by 5:30pm. Please pull into the circle drive and have your child’s car tag displayed. Your child will be called by the Extended Day staff member present in the circle drive for dismissal. Please be prompt in getting here by 5:30pm. A late charge of $1 per minute will be assessed after 5:30pm. Late pickup fees must be paid within two days of incurring the charge. Late fees cannot be paid online. Failure to pay late fines and/or three late departures will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program.

Payment: A monthly payment plan is available for all Extended Day families. The monthly payment of $125 per child is due on the 1st of each month (December through June). The initial payment (which covers the last week in October and November) is due by October 23, 2020. Payments can be made online through the School Pay website (
www.schoolpay.com
). Late notices will be emailed to the email address on this registration form starting on the 2nd of each month. A late fee of $15 will be assessed for all late tuition payments. Failure to meet your financial obligations will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program. Please make checks payable to Herod Elementary. All returned checks will be handled directly by the district controller’s office located at 4400 w. 18th Street, Houston, Texas 77092.

Refunds: If the Extended Day program is not able to operate, due to any reason, for more than 5 consecutive days, a credit will be applied to your child’s account. The credit amount will be determined by the actual length of the closure. Refunds/credits will not be applied for any closure that is 5 days or less.

Conduct: Herod's standard rules of student conduct apply to Extended Day activities. Two documented occurrences of misbehavior will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program.

Change in Pickup: If it is necessary for your child to be picked up by someone other than a parent or designated person, please notify Ms. Richard in writing giving permission and the name of the responsible party. Students will not be allowed to go home with another child without written permission from the parent.
