2024-2025  Red Hawk Academy Application 
Thank you for your interest in our program.  Please complete this application to indicate your interest in the 2024-2025  school year for the Red Hawk Academy at Life Skills in ACTion. The application deadline is February 24, 2023.  Placement on the waiting list will be conducted on February 27, 2023.  

Our lottery will follow this procedure for priority:
1.  Current students of the Academy.
2.  Current student siblings.
3.  Past students of the Academy.
4.  Students who have attended a shadow day and met with the Director either at an Open House or in person at the center during the 2023-2024 school year.
5.  General public.  Applications will be accepted and each student will be given a priority number.  You will be notified of your child's ranking to monitor their acceptance to the Academy.
6.  Applications after February 23 will be accepted and will be given a ranking number.  This will be emailed to the primary parent.

What are the steps for enrollment?

  1. If you have a sibling that will be enrolling for the 24-25 year, complete the online lottery form for interest in our Academy 2024-205 by February 23, 2024.  These applications are time and date stamped.  You can find this on our website under the tab

    1. Lottery:  If there are more applications than open spaces, we will enter your registration in a lottery for selection.  Each application will be given a registration code and the lottery will be held on February 27, 2024.  You will be notified that day of your place in the cue.  

    2. Once you are notified of the siblings placement in the cue, you have 48 hours to complete their registration paperwork and pay the first payment of $500.

  2. Submit health and immunization records by March 22, 2024.

  3. Submit the transportation form for field trips, volunteer work and excursions by March 22, 2024.

  4. July 8th week:  Respond to the email from the Academy to set up your Back to School Bash and Assessment time.

  5. July 10, 2024 Invoices will be mailed out for review and accuracy.

  6. July 19, 2024 

    1. If you are paying in full for the school year, today is the day the payment is due to receive the early bird discount.  

    2. If you are paying monthly, the first of 10 payments is due today.

    3. A payment schedule will be shared with you once you work out the details of how you would like to structure your payments.

  7. Attend your assessment session on August 12 or 13, 2024 at the Back to School Bash. These appointments are scheduled by your learning team at the Academy @LSIA. 

    1. Meet your teachers, get your gear, pick up your welcome packet and register for upcoming family events.  

    2. You will also be given the calendar for the school year.  

  8. August 14:  First Day of School

    1. Make sure you have a lunchbox, sunscreen, change of clothes and shoes, bug spray and any clinic items ready for the Back to School Bash.  There is no need for a backpack.  We provide each student with the bag they will use for field trips.  All papers are sent home on Fridays.

  9. Conference Day for the Academy students is October, 2024.  A 45 minute conference will be scheduled to review assessments and the current learning plan. The student and family attend together as this is a non-instructional day for students.
