Athol Day Fun Dog Show 2023
Thank you for your interest in participating in this year's Athol Day Fun Dog Show, a show open to all dogs who live in, or, are visiting the county!

By filling out this form, you are holding a place in the competition. You will be required to finalize your registration the day of the event.

All entrants have the opportunity to participate in the following categories. There will only be one winner per category.

  • Longest Tail  
  • Most Wagging Tail
  • Unique Eyes
  • Looks Most Like Owner  
  • Best Costume
  • Cutest Smile
  • Smallest 
  • Largest/Tallest
  • Best Underbite 
  • Best Singer
  • Best Trick (must be performed with dog on leash)
  • Athol's Best in Show (Judges choice. Dog must live in Athol)

This is a fun event open to all dogs, residents and guests of Athol, presented by the Athol Rec Committee. The judges are students from Athol South-Marysburgh Public School and their decisions are final.   

The Athol Rec Committee is committed to providing a safe, secure and respectful environment for those who attend our events.  Words or actions that make others feel threatened or demeaned will not be tolerated and decisive action will be taken to protect volunteers, vendors and community members.  Individual(s) may be asked to leave or the police may be called.

Competition Entry Details and Fees

1) The organisers advocate a policy of responsible pet ownership and the health and safety of all dogs taking part in the competition is our number one concern. Dogs should not be forced to take part if they are not happy doing so.
2) Everyone who takes part in the Fun Dog Show must be registered online in advance or on the day, if space is available. 
3) The charge for taking part in the Fun Dog Show is $5, per dog,  which can be paid in cash the day of the dog show.  EXACT CHANGE APPRECIATED. All entry fees will be donated to the Athol South-Marysburgh Public School Yard Improvement Fund
4) Children showing the dog who are under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult. 
5) We may use a photograph of you and your dog for social media and future Athol Rec Committee promotions.

Required
 General Competition Details 

1) Participants must register between 11:30 - 11:50pm 
2) If a participant is late for the competition, the organisers will do their best to slot the entrant into the competition, however this is not guaranteed.
3) The organisers reserve the right to remove a dog(s) from the show if they are being aggressive towards another dog/human or are being disruptive to the competition, or showing signs of stress, anxiety, fear, illness, or injury. 
4) Dog must remain on leash for the duration of the contest.
5) All dogs must have all relevant vaccinations. 
6) All owners must clean up after their dog. 
7) Any specific information and instructions given by any hosts/judges must be adhered to and decisions of the KID JUDGES are final. 
8) The Athol Rec Committee reserve the right to refuse or cancel registrations or alter the date, time and/or venue and format of any show without notice. Any liability to the Participant will be limited to the registration fee. Registration fees are non-refundable if the Event has to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside the Athol Rec Committees control.

You are fully liable for your animal should they cause any damage or injury. Any dog showing aggressive behaviour at the show will be asked to leave with no refund given. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
