The 2023 Conference will mark the 30th annual Library Resource Roundup for Region 20. Education Service Center, Region 20 is excited to welcome librarians, para library educators, library directors and supervisors, and library advocates and allies from all across the region back to a face-to-face conference on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the ESC-20 Fredrick Maples Conference Center (1314 Hines St., San Antonio). We are currently seeking proposals from all colleagues willing to share their knowledge and experience to build others up.
Because of this special anniversary, we're asking conference presenters to really think about the legacy high quality school library programs have on the students, staff, and school communities we serve. How are we each nurturing a legacy of wonder with each strategic service decision we make?
Please fill out the following form and submit by August 1, 2023. All sessions will be 50 minutes in duration. We will notify you of the status of your proposal by August 10, 2023. ***Please note that main presenters will receive a complimentary conference registration. All other secondary presenters will be charged the conference registration rate.
This year's theme emphasizes the idea that libraries are places that have always been birthplaces of wonder on our campuses. Library staff carry the unique responsibility of being nurturers of wonder for the communities they serve. As library staff members, we are uniquely positioned within our organizations to remind our communities of the sacred wonder of learning and inquiry. Proposals that speak to how your organization, you, and/or your community is carrying out the sacred task of wonder will most clearly align with the purpose of this year's conference. So, show us your wonder and get ready to share it with your wonder-full colleagues.
