Katie Wardrobe Live in Launceston
Katie Wardrobe is coming to Launceston for an all-day workshop on Saturday 17 June at Launceston Christian School.  This full day workshop caters to both primary and secondary teachers. Katie will cover work for all age groups and show examples that cover students at the various levels.

Discover simple and effective ways to incorporate technology into your music classroom. We'll look at easy lesson ideas you can use straight away, how to use technology alongside your current curriculum and which software and hardware choices to make. This session will include things you always wanted to know but were too afraid to ask and no previous experience is required!

This workshop is ideal for teachers who:

  • would like some “use it tomorrow” tech ideas
  • would like to explore new ways of presenting familiar units of work
  • are being encouraged to incorporate more technology into their teaching
  • are looking for simple ideas to foster musical creativity in students
  • would like ways to reinforce musical concepts
  • want some tips on how to create engaging teaching materials
  • feel they have some holes in their knowledge (technophobes are welcome!)

Lunch will be catered for. Please ensure you notify us below of any dietary needs.
The workshop cost is:

• $150 for ASME and/or TOSA members
• $200 for non-members, which includes one year’s ASME membership
• $30 tertiary students (included is one year’s student membership to ASME)

Morning tea and lunch is included in the registration fee.

For more information, contact TASME (tasmemeetings@gmail.com).

Please register by 5pm, Friday 9 June as we need to confirm bookings for catering.

During the breaks or at the end of the day's session, Peter Stewart is happy to offer some  'hands on'  PA & sound gear training. To take up this opportunity please make sure you answer the question later in this form.

What to bring.

1.    Laptop (PC, Mac or Chromebook) and your charger. An iPad will work for most - but not all - of the activities, so a laptop is preferable.

2.    Important#1! Please make sure you have the Chrome browser installed on your laptop. Chrome is the best option for music/audio websites (Internet Explorer is NOT a good option so we will be using Chrome during the workshop)

3.    Important #2! We will need to access online tools and resources during the workshop. Please make sure ahead of time that your laptop will be able to access the wireless network at the workshop venue (if you're not sure, check with your school IT person beforehand)

4.    Please bring headphones (preferably wired - not bluetooth)

I would like to have some training on how to use PA/sound gear *
