The Kemptown Carnival is excited to return in 2019 after a 2 year break, even brighter and better than before!
There will be 6 live music stages and 2 performance areas showcasing some of Brighton’s leading artists and musicians, a Parade featuring a community bloco, street theatre, dance troupes, choirs, street games, amazing local food and drink, vintage arts, crafts and clothing, children’s entertainment and activities, fairground rides, tug’o’war, and the Grand Custard Pie Fight!
The event relies on a huge army of volunteers to help get the event up and running, and we couldn't do it without your support. There are loads of fun ways to get involved and a variety of roles. It's a great platform to gain work experience if you are interested in working in the arts or events industry and a great way to meet people and help create a fantastic event for the community.
With support from local residents and volunteers, local traders and Churches, community groups, Brighton and Hove City Council, and CooktheRabbit Events CIC, the Kemptown Carnival has become a Community Interest Company and remains a wonderful, multi generational celebration of summer and creativity in Brighton. We can't wait for you to be involved!
