Port Makos will also be attending the Northern Eagles Junior Champs, Date and venue to be advised. Please ensure your availability for these dates if you intend to coach.

TRIAL Information

This year Port Makos Touch have made the decision to refresh the selection process, to ensure consistent and fair selection for all players. This will ensure that all players are observed over a few training runs instead of just one trial run.

This year we will host three weeks of 'come and try/squad training' in the Spring school holidays into the start of Term 4 (25th September - 8th October, Date TBC). This will be for players and coaches to attend. This is NOT compulsory however it is encouraged for players and coaches to attend to build processes, structures of play and observations of players who will be eligible for selection.

There will be one compulsory trial for all players and coaches to attend which will be held in week 2 of term 4 (16th-22nd October, Date TBC) to select and finalise teams.

Any player/coach who can not attend the trial dates need to give 2 weeks notice. If you are sick within the 2 week period, please provide a Dr certificate to advise of absence.

TIMES / VENUES - To be confirmed as soon as fields are booked (venues) and once sufficient EOI indicate enough players to form a team (times).

Trials will have split times for age groups to allow enough selectors to work with all sides.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
# Players must attend the compulsory trial; be registered in the PMTA competition (winter or summer 2023) and play 5 games prior to the JSC event to qualify for selection. Players living outside the Port Macquarie area must be sighted 5 times by a member of the Rep Committee actively playing in a side. Coaches will need to be a registered member with in P.MTA via mysideline at $0 cost
