* Note: Majority of our cats have only ever lived wild, or at our shelter, a human home is completely foreign to them. They have to adjust to TV noises, cooking, people speaking, music playing, vacuum cleaner, phones ringing, the sound and sight of traffic through the window, other pets, a whole variety of scents, and people they've never met. That's ALOT for their brain to process. As a result they often go backwards a little when first adopted and will hide for a period, but always come around.
