Hello, there! My name is Mercedes, and my research interests revolve around certain conscious and unconscious cognitive processes like inhibition and attention, and how they operate in creative-thinking contexts. Research questions generally involve thinking about things like how we are able to (1) block out irrelevant or competing information, and (2) allocate attentional resources according to our goals and needs. I'm also really interested in how we think creatively with the Internet.
