We do not want the guild's membership dues to be a barrier to anyone that would like to be a part of the guild. We want everyone and the more diverse and full our community is, the better we all are. To that end, we are making available 100 free guild memberships for every 3 month period for spinners (or potential spinners) that are part of an underserved community, are on a fixed income, or just plain can't currently afford the regular dues. 

We ask that you only sign up for a scholarship if you couldn't and wouldn't otherwise become a member of the guild. We have priced the guild at what we need to make it work. The Guild pays around $40k quarterly (I know, crazy right?) for the substantial hosting required by so many high-def videos, the charge per member to access the site, along with fairly compensating the teachers, editors, and everyone involved in making the guild work. The guild is priced at $85/year or $12/month. We think this is a very good deal for the amount of information and community members will get always get. It's also the amount we need to make the guild financially viable with 1500-2500 members (we have about 1550 right now).  However, we feel it's vitally important that the guild, instruction, and community be available for everyone, even those not in a position to pay.

If you'd like one of our free 3-month spaces, please feel out the below form. We trust what you say, there's no proof needed. If we have the space, we'll give it to you. If it's full, when a space opens up (generally every 3 months), we'll get you in then. If you enjoy the guild for 3 months and want another 3, just put your name on the form again and we'll get you in when there's space!
