The Youth Ambassador Scholars (YAS) Program empowers youth to engage with community oversight of law enforcement in the context of their own neighborhoods/communities.

Our first two years have been a huge success, and we are now looking for our second cohort of local high school students - that means you!

The program includes training in police policy and procedure, community oversight of law enforcement, and opportunities to develop and lead community projects.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Students will receive The UC San Diego Youth Ambassador Scholarship ($2,000) for their participation. Students must be willing to commit to the following meeting dates. All meetings will be held on Zoom. Up to two absences will be allowed.

Please confirm you can participate in the program meetings, which will happen one Saturday every month at 5pm. (All meetings will be held on Zoom, and up to two absences will be allowed.)
