In lieu of getting together between Lenten services for a good, traditional Lenten soup supper each week, again this year we are offering you a chance to still share in this tradition but in a little different way.  We had over 250 preorders for Lent Soup and have decided to extend our soup sale during the Lent season.  While you would drop $6 or more in the free-will offering basket during soup suppers, why not purchase our homemade, just-add-hot-water soup mixes and, again in Spirit, share with your St. John’s friends a Lenten soup supper in your own home?!

 Our Summer Campers have prepared delicious homemade dry soup mixes you can purchase now for your Lenten season.  You can still purchase these homemade dry soup mixes for just $6 each.  Options are:  Beef barley vegetable, Chicken noodle, Chicken wild rice, Potato bacon, and Taco soup.  Try a different one for each Wednesday!

 Pre-ordered soup will be available for pick up on Ash Wednesday, March 2 from 3:00pm-7:00pm.   Or, purchase them during the Lent season and pick them up on Wednesdays or Sundays.  To order, go to www.sjlcl.org and scroll down to the yellow bar/link that says, “Lent soup mix sale” or call the church office at 952-469-4916 to place your order and Amanda will reach out to you with details once it is ready.  
 
All soups cook in 15 -30 minutes and just require heating them with water. You may opt to add in some additional cooked chicken or beef. They are full of tasty ingredients and are good to eat as is.
 Cost: $6.00 for each soup mix and they serve 4-6 people and Pancake mix, $3.00. Order as many as you would like.
