Hi everyone! This is the registration form for this year's Public Speaking and Debating Workshop organised by SCOPET's Capacity Building Coordinators in collaboration with the Executive Board (EB) and Toastmasters Malta!

We will be having some guest speakers from Toastmasters Malta coming to talk to us about the importance of public speaking and the best way to present ourselves in front of an audience. These soft skills are very important to have in our lives, especially as future doctors. These skills will also serve useful if one would like to contest for a role in MMSA's Executive Board (EB) or Board of Directors (BD)! 

We will also be having a short presentation about what the MMSA Annual General Meeting (AGM) consists of. This is a week-long event in the MMSA Calendar that happens every March to be able to vote for the new MMSA Executive Board and Board of Directors for the upcoming term! Besides encouraging our members to enhance their public speaking and presentation skills, the aim of this workshop is also to better prepare yourself for your candidature if you wish to pursue a future within the MMSA EB/BD!

This workshop will cover: 
  • Basic Concepts of Public Speaking
  • Presenting and Using Visual Aids
  • Debating and Conflict Resolution: A Perspective
  • Well-being and Work Life Balance
  • Group activities to help enhance one's public speaking and debating skills
  • What is AGM and why is it such an important event in the MMSA Calendar?
  • How to better prepare yourself for your candidature if you wish to pursue a future within the MMSA BD.
