Presentation of the Med Youth Network
and the meeting in Beirut:
In
2015, REF - Réseau Euromed France (www.euromed-france.org) launched the project
"Mediterranean Youth", which brings together every year about 100
young Mediterranean people involved in civil society on issues issues of
employment and vocational training, civic participation, migration and
mobility, social and climate justice and freedom of expression.
Over
the years and through meetings, we have built a space of freedom and networking
offering participants the opportunity to enhance their practices implemented
locally, to strengthen their knowledge and to carry messages of young people in
the Mediterranean area.
The Med
Youth network is now a recognized space for dialogue, cooperation, exchange,
discovery, and meeting, for a common future between the two shores of the
Mediterranean.
From November 23 to 26,
REF and its partners will organize a new Med Youth meeting in Beirut. This meeting of around 80 participants will be a highlight of the new cycle of the Med Youth network. It will be
organized around thematic workshops, discoveries of local associative
structures, debates, cultural events and awareness raising moments open to the
general public.
This meeting will be
followed by thematic workshops on both shores of the Mediterranean around the
themes of the project, in order to build common actions.
