LIFE Faculty Survey: How Can We Support You?
The LIFE team has created a survey in order to better understand your transition to remote teaching including what has worked, what hasn't, and how we can further support you. The following questions will aim to inform and develop resources that benefit the academic community. This form is anonymous - however, there is an option to share your details which will only be used to contact you and discuss your context further.  We are always available if you need us. Please contact us at life@miami.edu.

Adopted Remote Teaching Approaches
To create appropriate resources, we are gathering information about teaching approaches adopted this semester, including activities, technologies, and other general approaches. Approaches may range from leveraging a new technology in your teaching (e.g. Google Drive, mobile applications, Blackboard Learn, Zoom), developing activities to use these tools (e.g. breakout rooms, pre-recorded lectures, discussion boards, lab simulations, student portfolios and quizzes) or other general activities (virtual office hours, surveying students for feedback, altering/removing assignments).
What new teaching approaches did you adopt this semester?
What teaching approaches worked BEST for you, and why?
What teaching approaches did NOT work well for you, and why?
What are some additional challenges you are still facing in transitioning to remote teaching? (Check all that apply)
Support and Resources
In this section, we are seeking your input on how the LIFE team can best support you during this time. Your input will be used in the upcoming semesters for faculty to better transition to remote teaching.
What services/programs would be valuable/of immediate use to you for LIFE to implement?
If you checked-off online resources or webinars/workshops, are there any particular topics you would like us to address?
Can someone from the LIFE team contact you to further discuss any of your responses or questions? If yes, please type your name, department, and UM e-mail.
