Do you want to earn high school credits for going to work??
Career Preparation and practicum courses provide opportunities for students to participate in a work-based learning experience that combines classroom instruction with paid and/or unpaid employment experiences. The goal is to prepare students with a variety of skills for a changing workplace. (2 Credits or 3 Credits)

Career Preparation: This a 2 credit course that includes 1 face-to-face career preparation course and 1 work lab period (off period). Off periods are either 1st or 6th period.

  • Late Start - 9:13 AM - 3:48 PM OR Early Release - 8:00 AM - 2:35 PM

Extended Career Preparation: This a 3 credit course that includes 1 face-to-face career preparation course and 2 work lab periods (off periods). Off periods are either 1st and 2nd period or 5th and 6th period.

  • Late Start - 10:26 AM - 3:48 PM OR Early Release - 8:00 AM - 1:22 PM

Eligibility:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age by the 1st day of school.
  • Must be employed.
