Woodford County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship Application
Dear Applicant:

The Woodford County Farm Bureau established the Woodford County Farm Bureau Foundation in 1998.  The WCFB Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation organized to promote agriculture in Woodford County.  The foundation is funded through contributions by Farm Bureau members.  

For the 2020 school year a $750 scholarship will be awarded.  The scholarship will be given to an incoming freshman or current college/university student enrolled full-time in an agriculture related field of study.  This does not include a student receiving dual-credit courses.  The purpose of this scholarship is to enhance interest in and development of quality education of young people in agricultural and related fields.

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must:
Be an incoming freshman or current college or university student. This does not include high school students receiving dual credits.
Be a member or dependent of a member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau.  (Dependents of WCFB Board Members are not eligible.)
Career plans must be in an agriculture field.
Exhibit potential for successful completion of course of study.
Cannot be a previous WCFB Foundation Scholarship recipient.
     
Consideration will be given to the following criteria in the selection of a scholarship recipient (in no particular order):
Scholastic achievement
Participation in Agriculture Activities
Demonstrated Leadership in school and community activities

In addition to the application, we request
a copy of your college transcripts, or incoming freshmen will need to submit proof of course enrollment
One character reference.
One teacher or professor recommendation
