2024-25 Course Proposal Form, Renaissance School of the Arts

Thank you for your interest in teaching at Renaissance School of the Arts! Before submitting course proposal(s), please first complete RSA's Instructor Application.

Please submit a separate Proposal for each Course you are interested in teaching.

  • If you would like to offer the same course for 2 different age groups (such as 2 woodworking classes, one for ages 10-13 and another for ages 14-18) you will fill out 2 separate proposals, one for each age group.
  • If you are offering a class with multiple ages combined in a single class (such as a martial arts class for ages 8-adult) you only need to submit one course proposal for that class.

Current instructors should provide complete course information, even if you are proposing to teach the same class or private instruction next year.

The Priority Deadline for submitting these forms is March 9, 2024. Our class selection committee will give scheduling preference to proposals submitted by this deadline; late proposals will be considered if there are schedule openings.

If you have questions, please contact Shannon Johnson (RSA Co-Director, shannonjohnson@rsahomeschool.org) or Jody Luck (RSA Instructor Liaison, jodyluck@rsahomeschool.org) .

Open Enrollment: RSA accepts new families throughout the school year, so we always have new students looking to join classes already in session. However, we understand that some classes are not suitable for joining later in the year, so Instructors can specify if/when they would like their class Closed.
*
Age Waivers: Would you like to automatically approve Age Waivers for this class? *
Supply Fee (optional) This fee is paid by families to the instructor for actual costs of consumable supplies that the students will use up and/or take home.  Supply Fee does not apply to equipment that you purchase to use with a class but keep for your future use.  Those items fall under your cost of doing business, and should be figured into the monthly class fee.

Does this Course have a Supply Fee?

*
Projected Supply Fee Amount:
(Many instructors purchase their student supplies in bulk and experience significant savings.  When students join later, you may not be able to purchase at the stated supply fee prices.  We understand this and will work with you to find an equitable way for students to obtain the correct supplies. Please list your expected supply fees now.  You will have a chance to update to current costs before school starts in the fall.)

What does the Supply Fee cover?

Please provide a list so parents understand what this fee covers. There should be no surprise fees through the year.  Examples: Supply fee of $15 covers a complete tool kit that the student will use for every project and own at the end of the year.”
Supply fee is $20 per semester and covers all paper, canvases, mounting supplies, paints, and brushes.”
“Supply fee is $15 for consumable art and craft supplies.  Students will also be asked to bring in household items such as  2 liter bottles, gallon jugs, and cardboard tubes.”
“Supply fee is $5 and covers printing costs for course handouts.”
