BigLake Query Acceleration

Query performance on data lake tables is often bottlenecked by the large number of objects. BigLake query acceleration feature leverages BigQuery’s advanced metadata management system to accelerate queries. BigLake tables can be set up to manage and maintain a cache of metadata about files in Google Cloud Storage automatically in the background. This metadata is then used at query time for query planning and optimization.
