Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) -- particularly antibiotic resistance -- is a global public health threat known to impact healthcare, food safety, nutrition security, livelihood and attainment of several Sustainable Development Goals. It is accelerated by the misuse and
overuse of antimicrobials in human health, animal health, food-animal production and crops, and poor management of waste, leading to a growing resistance to common infections. Many countries in Asia and Africa, especially India, are faced with this threat and are actively working to contain it.
To address this issue, CSIR-CCMB is conducting the workshop on AMR for young students (grades 9-12).
What will the Workshop focus on? - What is AMR?
- What causes AMR?
- How can we fight AMR!
Some essential information about the
workshop:
- Hands-on Lab experiments with bacteria
- CCMB Labs tour with experts
- Exciting game and poster-making sessions
Registration is OPEN for schools. Each school can send a maximum of 2 students. The first 30 student registrations will be invited for the program. We need teacher details to stay connected during the workshop. Teachers are not mandated to be present during the workshop.
