Family Fun Day at Peoples State Forest 2021-River and Recreation Series Summer Event
Registration Form for Family Fun Day at Peoples State Forest that will be held on Saturday, July 10 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.   Attention all families!  Join us for the new River and Recreation Series Summer Event- Family Fun Day at Peoples State Forest- (in front of Squires Tavern-The Barkhamsted Historical Society.)  Crafts, games and activities are for adults, families and children from 2:00-4:00 p.m.. and will be led by Barkhamsted Recreation Camp staff and the FRCC River Steward Team.  You will have a blast while making new friends and learning more about the Wild and Scenic Farmington River, area hiking and recreational programs, meet the 2021 FRCC River Steward Team and members of the Barkhamsted Recreation staff and play a variety of games, make crafts and even have the opportunity to go on a Nature Scavenger hunt!   Meet at the picnic tables at Squires Tavern/Bakrhamsted Historical Society. Please register by Friday, July 9, 2021 so that we can plan for the necessary supplies and craft items.  Small snacks will also be served!  Please bring a face mask as it will be required if there are instances where social distancing is not possible.  This event is free!

Barkhamsted Recreation Waiver for Participation
 I GIVE MY SON/DAUGHTER, SELF and FAMILY PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BARKHAMSTED RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S PROGRAM.  TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE TOWN OF BARKHAMSTED AND ITS EMPLOYEES, STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS FROM ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION BY IN THE TOWN OF BARKHAMSTED RECREATION DEPARTMENT’S PROGRAM.PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: I understand that for promotional purposes only, the Town of Barkhamsted photographs, and/or records video of participants enrolled in recreational activities, classes or at special events. I hereby release and permit the Town of Barkhamsted to utilize for said promotional purposes any photographs and/or videotapes of me or my minor child engaging in the above-listed recreational activities.Please understand that regardless of all of the safety measures and precautions that will be taken, it is not possible to guarantee a COVID-19 free environment,  COVID-19 is now a risk that is inherent in everyday life.  By participating in, and allowing your child to participate in Recreational activities, you hereby accept the risk that you/or your child may be exposed to, and possibly contract COVID-19.I understand and accept that Barkhamsted Recreation relies on the honesty and truth of all of the program participants that they are not doing so while they, or any member of their household are sick or are feeling COVID-19 symptoms.  Neither, or anyone in my household, currently has or feels any symptoms of COVID-19.  If this changes before the recreation event, I and my family will not attend.

The Event will be held rain or shine (only a severe storm would cancel the event).  In the event of a severe weather cancellation, registrants will be contacted and there will be a post on the Town of Barkhamsted and The FRCC River Steward Facebook pages by 12 p.m. on July 10.   Everyone is required to wear a mask when  social distancing is not possible.  Photos/videos from the Event will be posted on the Town of Barkhamsted Facebook Page and the FRCC River Steward Facebook Page.   Thank you,  looking forward to seeing you and your family at the event!   Donna Bastrzycki-Barkhamsted Recreation Director   barkhamstedrec@barkhamsted.us
