The goal of this unique symposium is to politicize LGBTQ+ college students around issues affecting them and increase their ability to advocate for an affordable, quality, and safe college education. This conference will prioritize the needs, voices, and issues of LGBTQ+ students while challenging societal norms around gender identity and sexual orientation. We want to provide an opportunity to queer and trans students to come together and learn in ways that are often not provided on individual campuses due to lack of support and resources. Workshop Sessions are an hour and twenty minutes long, presenters should ensure the content of their workshop can fill that amount of time. This year's symposium will be held at Southern Oregon University on May 23rd, and this year's theme is Building a Foundation, centering on creating solidarity for LGBTQ+ students in Oregon and strengthening the community from the ground up.
Deadline for Submission: 5pm on Friday, April 10th, 2020
