Parents and Guardians:

We are currently in the process of finishing an unprecedented school year. We appreciate all you have done to support your children through this experience.  We are reaching out to get feedback to guide our reopening plans in the fall.  

Please take a  moment to tell us about your child's distance learning experience this past spring, how you are feeling about the fall and what you need so we can provide your children with the best possible educational experience in September.  

The Sanford School Department is just like most other school departments across the country who are preparing for several different reopening plans.  The guidance from the CDC and Department of Education will likely change prior to August; however, it is important that we are prepared as a community.  

We are currently exploring three possible scenarios:

Plan A - All students return in the fall with proper safety procedures and social distancing.

Plan B - Students return with a reduced number of students (examples: half days, every other day, every other week).  Students would engage in remote learning when not present at school.  Accommodations would be made to have siblings attend on the same day(s) and try to have families choose other families to attend with to assist with child care.

Plan C - Distance Learning continues for all students.
