The Cultural Festival is an event run by the Howick Youth Council in which youth from different cultures across East Auckland come together to showcase their culture through performances and stalls.  This is a great opportunity for youth from all cultures to come together to share their cultures with the local community. The stalls play an important role in the cultural festival giving an opportunity for you to display your culture through outlets other than performances.

Event details:
- Sunday 29th August, 12pm - 3pm
- Ormiston Town Centre, 240 Ormiston Road, Flat Bush, Auckland
- Attendance is open to the public

Note: Only one person from each stall needs to fill out this form. Only youth may hold stalls (12-24 year olds). There are limited spots available.

What we're looking for in stalls
The stalls at the cultural festival are a great way to showcase your culture and inform others about different aspects of it.  Stalls at the festival can be split into three categories: selling cultural items, interactive crafts, and informative stalls. A stall could incorporate more than one of these categories.

Selling cultural items - This is the type of stall in which you would be selling a culturally significant item to people at the festival. An example would be cultural art. Note that food cannot be sold at stalls due to health and safety regulations.

Interactive crafts - This is a type of stall where you may host an activity or craft for people to come and learn about your culture through actually doing something. An example of this could be flax weaving.

Informative - This is a type of stall in which you inform people about your culture through visuals or oral presentations. This could include posters, information placards, pamphlets or speaking to people.

Note: it's okay if you don't know exactly what your stall will look like yet, just give as much information as you can. We will be sending out another form closer to the date to gain more information about your stall.

Things to consider:
- Tables will be provided for you
- Stalls will be cash only or free
- Your stall must have a cultural focus
- No food can be sold
