2023-2024 Stakeholder Input 1% (set aside) TITLE I Monies for Parent and Family Engagement for the Upcoming  2024-2025 School Year
Because our school system receives more than $500,000 in Title I Funds, the school system is required to set aside at least 1% of their Title I Allocation for (PFE) Parent & Family Engagement. PFE monies are distributed among nine schools. As a collective group, principals of our nine schools have unanimously decided to apply a portion of their schools’ PFE monies to go towards the funding of A (DPIC) District Parent & Family Engagement Involvement Coordinator’s position and to support PFE events and communication on the district level. In accordance with Georgia Department of Education TITLE I expenditure regulations, stakeholder input will be considered as decisions are being made about PFE monies use.
On the district level , funds were used to pay for the PFE Coordinator position, supplies and resources for conducting district PFE events and communication, training of volunteers and chaperones, iReady at home (computer software program to support literacy), registration and training for state and regional PFE meetings, School Messenger, Family Engagement Bus, and translation services.
The schools receive parent feedback to determine how the funds will be used at the school.  Typically, schools purchase communication folders, agendas for students, other communication resources, and supplies for PFE events.
Please indicate ways TITLE I 1% set aside monies may also be used during the upcoming, 2024-2025 school year.
