As you know, this long-ignored condition has finally begun to attract scientific interest, and research is now underway. Your participation is invaluable, as you will contribute to a deeper understanding of this condition and the development of effective intervention protocols.
Therefore, I am extremely grateful for your collaboration and encourage you to answer the questions with complete honesty.
This study is entitled "Clarifying Excessive or Maladaptive Daydreaming. Overexcitability, Emotional Regulation, and Cognitive Failures," and has received a favorable report from the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Murcia. Its objective is to explore the relationship between Excessive Daydreaming and the presence of certain personal characteristics that may be decisive in understanding this phenomenon.
Your participation is free and voluntary and will consist of answering brief online questionnaires, taking just 15 minutes and completely anonymously.
The data obtained will be kept confidential, ensuring your anonymity. At no time will you be asked for personal information that identifies you.
The data will be kept by the principal investigator for the subsequent development of partial and final reports (anonymized), as well as for scientific dissemination in journals and publications. The data will be retained for 12 months. If the data provided is reused in subsequent studies, informed consent will not be requested again.
You may withdraw from the study at any time without having to provide a reason or receiving any type of penalty (and in such case, all data provided may be deleted upon request).
