ASLS Rapid Response Grants
Smaller academic and special libraries might not have access to contingency funds from their institution or governing body to enable them to continue services and operations from home offices or alternate sites. To assist these libraries, the Academic & Special Libraries Section (ASLS) of the New York Library Association (NYLA) is ready to rapidly deploy funds to its members.

Five (5) grants of up to $500 each will be awarded to ASLS members or ASLS institutional member libraries to support the continuation of services during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Examples of fundable needs include:
* The purchase of equipment such as Chromebooks, mobile hotspots, scanners to enable staff to work from home
* The purchase of subscriptions to video conferencing products, chat software, or cloud storage to enable collaborative work and/or virtual reference services

Grants will be awarded weekly until the funds are expended or until May 31, 2020.
