Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, many in-person summer camps and arts educational opportunities that support children’s learning outside of school have been cancelled or dramatically modified. That is why, in July and August of 2020, Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse is hosting Eco-Craftastic Summer: Off the Screen and Out Into the World!
The Eco-Craftastic Summer is a four-week virtual club designed to minimize screen time for kids and adults while providing activities that foster hands-on skills, build confidence, and encourage participants to make a positive impact on their environment and their relationships. By reusing and repurposing the unique reclaimed materials that come directly from Creative Reuse, the activities will emphasize observation, reflection, curiosity, problem-solving, and playfulness.
This is where you come in! Offering these experiences to low-income youth, kids in single-parent households, and families without childcare would not be possible without your generous support. If you would like to sponsor a kid's participation in the club, please fill out this form! We will get back to you as soon as possible with details about how to make your donation. We are a nonprofit and your donation may be tax deductible, so please see your tax advisor for details. For questions, contact
