Proposals must strive to highlight the contemporary design of interiors of compact affordable urban homes in an effort to commemorate the unrelenting search for better design and to inspire the constant innovation in affordable and sustainable materials and technology.
Requirements
- Participants are required to design the Zima Homes 1 bedroom apartment unit to offer the highest standards of healthy and sustainable design.
- 1 Landscape oriented A2 Sized, PDF format and in 300 dpi.
- 4 individually submitted render files with a view from the main living space, the kitchen, the bedroom and the washroom
- Applicants are encouraged to highlight the concept, theme, plans, sections, interior elevations and the renders on their boards.
- An optional 3D video/flythrough file is also accepted as part of the submission.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to interior design or architecture students enrolled in an educational institution (local and international)
- Young graduates, at most 2 years post-graduation of their first degree.
- Submissions can be made individually or in teams.
- International submissions are acceptable.

- Submission Deadline and online voting commenced - 15 December, 2022
- Winners announced- 20 December, 2022
- Awards - Q1 2023
The winning design will be implemented as the Zima Homes Showhouse.
