You must only take the reasonable and necessary steps to mitigate the EMERGENCY until authorization for more extensive repairs has been approved by your builder/seller or warranty administrator. Reasonable and necessary action may include temporary shoring, bracing or covering with protective material. After taking reasonable and necessary steps to mitigate the risk, report the emergency to your builder/seller or warranty administrator on the next business day.
