Dates: May 20-22, 2022

Transportation: Troop Transportation

Departure: Please drop off your scout on Friday at 5:00 pm in the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church parking lot.

Return: Please pick up your scout on Sunday at 12 Noon from PVUMC parking lot. To avoid interrupting any church service, please park away from the church building and remain quiet. If it appears the pick up time may vary, and if or when cellular coverage is available, each scout will try to contact a parent.

Location: Christopher Run Campground, 6478 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Mineral, VA 23117 (approx. 1-1/2 hours from PVUMC)

Cost: $35/person (Includes Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast )

Attire: Scout Class 'A' uniform for travel

Program
This campout is an annual Troop 682 favorite! We will spend Saturday at Lake Anna.  We will stay at Christopher Run Campground, a commercial campground on the northern end of Lake Anna.  The scouts will have the opportunity to fish, canoe, swim, and go motorboating, water skiing and tubing!  Be sure to bring your swim trunks and sunscreen.  Bring your fishing pole if you have one; the troop has some you can borrow too. The weekend outing is also a great opportunity to work on rank requirements.
Restrictions
Adult Leaders attending will need a current Youth Protection Training certificate. The training is located at http://www.scouting.org/Training/YouthProtection.aspx

We have a limit of 60 participants (scouts and adults).

Registrations are first come, first serve.
Meals
Eat dinner before you arrive or bring something with you.  Scouts will be cooking Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner and Sunday breakfast by patrols. Also carry Sunday lunch money incase you're hungry and eat on the way back.
Equipment
Standard weekend camping equipment.  Swim suit, beach towel, sunscreen.
