The Quintessence Summer Choral Festival has become a staple summer music event held annually in Albuquerque, NM.  Choral singers from all over the southwest and beyond come together to prepare and perform a masterwork with a professional orchestra in just a week’s time. This year on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 3:00pm at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, NM, we will be wrapping up our Seventh Annual Festival with a performance of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, Brahm's Schicksalslied, and a set of pieces by Gwyneth Walker.  The 2019 Choral Scholars will also perform a set of works of contemporary women composers.

Our 2018 Summer Festival concert was performed to a sold out audience with over 100 voices accompanied by our professional festival orchestra. Through the contributions of our festival sponsors and donors we were able to accomplish the following:
                - a huge move to the National Hispanic Cultural Center
                - a composer residency with Robert Cohen
                - a partnership with the Alzheimer's Association of New Mexico
                - expanding our Young Artist Program, The Quintessence Choral Scholars, to include more high school and
                  college students from over 4 states.
                - public workshops and presentations by our prestigious faculty.
