Thank you for your interest in supporting Omaha Public Library (OPL)! Please be aware that not all of our branches are accepting new volunteers at this time. Please check back soon. Teens are invited to join Omaha Public Library's Teen Advisory Board (OPL TAB) on Zoom. Earn volunteer hours while supporting and advocating for teens in the library. Any Omaha area teen, ages 11-18, or in grades 7-12 can join!


Submit an application if you are interested in being part of OPL's dedicated group of volunteers. Library staff will contact you as opportunities that match your time, preferred locations, and interests are available. While we value the potential contributions of each applicant, volunteer staffing needs change from location to location and over time, and we may not be able to place all applicants. Please be sure to check your spam folder for emails from Omaha Public Library Staff. 

*Youth volunteer applications require the consent of a parent or guardian. OPL does not currently accept volunteers who are completing community service per court order.*
