If you're receiving this survey, your property is located within the Hyde Park Cemetery Maintenance District. That means that annually you are charged an additional property tax of $10-120 per year which goes to the HP Cemetery District. You can check your property tax bill to determine the actual amount your household/business pays. Concurrently, North Logan City allocates a portion of its general fund (approximately $10,000 total annually) for the maintenance of the North Logan cemetery. In effect, this means that your household is funding both cemeteries via these separate taxes.
       Being a part of the HP Cemetery District entitles you purchase burial rights at a $50 flat rate fee for a plot (North Logan's fee is $350) and $250 fee for opening/closing (North Logan's fee is $350).  
       Given this information, North Logan city would like to know whether your household desires to remain within the boundaries of the HP Cemetery District or whether you prefer to petition the responsible bodies to realign those cemetery district boundaries to exclude North Logan residents.

       A public hearing will take place on April 26 at 5:30 pm at the Cache County Council meeting regarding appointment of board members to the HP Cemetery District Board. Please plan on being in attendance at that hearing if you have input on this matter.
