Literary Cleveland 2023 Read Local Challenge

Cleveland Reads is a yearlong citywide challenge led by Cleveland Public Library and the City of Cleveland to get the whole city to collectively read one million books and/or one million minutes in 2023.

To help us reach this goal, Literary Cleveland is issuing a special Read Local Challenge: for every book you read in 2023 by a local author, you can enter your name to win a free pizza.

How it works

Step 1: Read a book by a local author. This is any book in any genre from any time by an author with a connection to Greater Cleveland.

Step 2: For each book you read, complete this short form to enter to win a free pizza.

Step 3: Don't forget to log your book on Cleveland Reads so it can count towards our goal of one million books!

Step 4: On the last day of each month in 2023, Literary Cleveland will randomly select one winner to receive a free pizza from the local pizza shop of their choice.

Step 5: Repeat. The more books you read by local authors, the better your chance of winning free pizza!

1) Must live in Greater Cleveland (defined broadly)

Q: Can the books be poetry, comics, graphic novels, picture books etc.? A: Absolutely yes!

Q: I'm not sure if this book or authors counts. Should I still enter? A: Yes! Also, feel free to ask questions at info@litcleveland.org.
