The next set of questions will be in regards to voting on board positions for the union.

The final 2 questions will be in regards to the proposed positions, and if passed, what to do next for filling those positions.

Pat Dennehy - Asheville Rugby
I graduated form Villanova University in 1969, with a degree in Education. While there I discovered rugby and played for 3 years. Upon graduation I began my teaching career, eventually landing at Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, Pa. I also began playing with the Whitemarsh Rugby Club at he time and started a Rugby Club Team at O’Hara. I coached the Rugby team from 1971-1977 and many of my players went on to play for the successful Philly-Whitemarsh teams of the 80’s and 90’s.                                                               ---   ---   ---   ---      ---   ---   ---   ---                                                                                                           I accepted a teaching and football coaching position at Atlantic City High School in 1977 and eventually left teaching in 1980 to go into the Casino business. While in Atlantic City I coached the Jersey Shore Rugby Club winning our division in 1992. Besides Atlantic City, my casino career took me to Chicago, Lake Tahoe, New Orleans, Cherokee, and Shreveport, La. retiring in 2008. I am currently the owner of City Bakery in Asheville, which we have owned and operated since 2001.                                                                                                                                                                                               I have most recently coached the Asheville Rugby club since 2008. Last year I stepped back from the head coach position allowing me to take in my grandchildren’s youth activities as well as travel to Ireland. My wife Rose and I reside in Asheville as well as our five children and eight grandchildren.  Thank you for your consideration for this position. I would enjoy being a part of the CGRU organization and helping to grow the sport throughout the Carolinas.
