We are excited to announce that our class will be going on a fall field trip on Wednesday, October 19th (Rain Date- Thursday, October 20th). We will be going to Tranquility Farms located in Green Township (approximately 14 minutes from STS). 

For the past 2 years we have not had the option of busing to provide transportation due to COVID & driver shortages. We may have the option of busing again this year. However, for the past 2 years worth of field trips we requested that all families drive themselves & their children and meet us at the farm directly that morning. This worked out very well because it allowed families to bring any family members they'd like, including younger siblings (any STS siblings are not permitted to attend as they have their own field trips this year). 

This option would ask all families to meet us at the farm between 8:30-8:45 am and remain with us for our group activities. This will also allows families to leave any time after we have lunch together (we estimate we would be done with lunch on the farm around 11:30-12:00 the latest). 

Tickets are $10 per person (ages 2 and up) and include access to all activities plus an apple cider donut & cup of fresh cider. Our Kindergarten students tickets are already covered from their tuition, so you will not need to pay for them to attend. 

If we go the route of all families providing transportation for their family & child, this will keep the cost of our chaperone tickets at $10. However, if we do end up using busing, chaperone ticket prices will be higher ($25 per chaperone) to include cost of transportation as well. When using busing, no additional siblings are permitted, and all chaperones MUST ride the bus, they cannot drive separately as they will be asked to supervise a group of students.

Therefore, we kindly are requesting a response from each family regarding this trip and whether you would be available/willing to provide transportation for your family & child OR if you are not available/willing to do. 

Please note your response is private. While we would absolutely LOVE everyone to join us, we do understand that it may not be possible for all 26 of our families to take the day off and provide transportation & stay with us for the day at the farm. In that case we will secure busing and reach out again to ask for set chaperones to attend this trip.
